An Alan Smithee Film (Burn, Hollywood, Burn) by Stephen Farber Although it's wildly uneven, this satire on the movie business, which was written by Joe Eszterhas, is peppered with uproarious touches. Ryan O'Neal gives his best performance in decades as a crass producer who spouts psychobabble to justify his ruthlessness, and it's fun to see Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg and behind-the-scenes players like Robert Evans and Harvey Weinstein plunging into self-parody.
