Benny & Joon by Stephen Farber If you have a taste for arch whimsy, you may adore Benny & Joon, a tale of a schizophrenic artist, her protective brother, and the slow-witted movie fanatic who comes between them. Awful as it sounds, the movie actually achieves a few poignant moments once it stops straining for eccentric charm.
