Best Laid Plans by Stephen Farber Best Laid Plans is yet another Tarantino-ish tale of a criminal scam that goes awry. Ted Griffin's script is convoluted without being clever, and Mike Barker's direction is all arty camera angles in search of a style. Alessandro Nivola and Josh Brolin give leaden performances as two unsympathetic con artists. Reese Witherspoon, the innocent caught between these two curs, is more appealing, but she can't salvage this lame entry in the neo-noir sweepstakes. What did you think of this movie?
