Post-Coitum by Stephen Farber Post-Coitum is another perceptive romantic film cowritten and directed by a woman, Brigitte Rouan, who also stars as a middle-aged book editor unhinged by a love affair with a much younger man. The French may imbue romantic and sexual turmoil with a bit too much sturm and drang, but at least they examine intimate emotions that Americans nervously avoid.
