The Big Kahuna by Stephen Farber The Big Kahuna, based on a stage play, doesn't transcend its theatrical origins. But an even bigger problem is that the play itself seems stale and ponderous. Nothing is really at stake in this familiar story of three desperate salesmen hoping to land a major client at a convention in Wichita, Kansas. Kevin Spacey (who also coproduced the movie), Danny DeVito and baby-faced Peter Facinelli do solid work in capturing the pressures of their environment, but they're playing in a vacuum.
